Red and Orange Clothes

There are people in the world who use public washers to dye clothes. Even though there are signs posted everywhere--do not dye clothes in the washers!

Now maybe I am a little too trusting....

I go into a washateria on a beautiful day and put my white clothes in a washer and start the machine. Later I go to take out my clothes to put in the dryer, and my white clothes have red and orange spots and lines in them from somebody who dyed some clothes in a previous wash.

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!! A whole batch of clothes ruined!!!

If you are one of those people who never thought the actions of another can and or would affect and effect you....remember this posting....we all are connected good and bad!

Tide All Cheer

I tend to buy washing products that make me happy:

Tide reminds me of the movement and changes in my life...
All reminds me of all the blessings and people of the world that are my family...
Cheer reminds me to remain happy and to seek happiness inspite of the challenges of life!
Anyone want to join me?

The Shrunken Sweater!

Once there was a man in the Washateria that washed a sweater in hot water and immediately dried it in a hot dryer. His face was priceless as he took it out of the dryer-it was 3 sizes too small. He read the label and realized he made a great mistake. No heat or hot water was to touch the sweater--it was supposed to be dry cleaned! He held the sweater up in front of his chest and it was obvious that he would no longer be able to wear it! He was about to throw it in the trash can and balled it up--then he thought about it for a minute and said "Well my son always wanted this sweater, I guess he got his wish!" Great Attitude! Great Recycling!

College Students and Washing!

It is amazing to me that college students will wear clothes until they cannot wear them anymore. College students are the true "green" people-saving water and time-by wearing clothes as much as possible. I had college students in my classes show up in the same clothes they had on yesterday--and that is "cool" with them. One told me he thought it was ok to "turn his underwear inside out" and in his mind they were clean! College students are a different group to show up in washateria's. They always bring their books and computers, and they stuff as much as they can in the washer. They borrow quarters and soap. We older people feel sorry for them and help them. College students expect help. When are they the cleanest? When they have a date or their parents are coming to visit! Love them!!!
